Christmas
Our Christmas was pretty good. Brent and I were/are fighting colds, so we weren't feeling too good all weekend. Gabby is teething of course so she was cranky. But other than that it was ok. We all got alot of good stuff. Alot of things we really needed. The only glitch was on Christmas night, we were at my step mil's house. Ashby's dad's parents were there. Ashby's nanny got on my nerves like crazy!!! I can't stand when someone tells me how to mother my children and that's what she kept doing all night. Yes, I understand she's been through all this before and that she helped raise other children as well as her own, but let me do things my way. She was telling me when and how to change Gabby, when and how to feed her, that I wasn't holding her correctly. And then Brent opened his first present and decided he'd just play with that one puzzle. He was so tired by then I said that's fine, mommy will just open your presents. He was ok with that. Well, Nanny proceeded in telling me that it's not fair that I won't let him open his own presents. Christmas is for the children and I wasn't being nice to him. I don't know how but I kept my cool and ignored it. The inner Kim really wanted to reach out and smack that old bitty! Ugh!! If I'm doing such a horrible job with my kids, you really wouldn't know it. They are healthy and happy. They obviously love me and their daddy. They are fed and clean and have everything they want and need. I love my babies and I think I'm a pretty good mother. I'm not perfect, nobody is. But jeez, let me raise MY kids!!
Ok enough of that! So my house is torn up with toys. I don't know where I'm going to put all of them. I need an extra 2 rooms just for toys!! And diapers.....Gabby got so many diapers it's unreal!! I'm so grateful for that!!
I have to say though I'm so glad Christmas is over. I love Christmas, but once you have kids all the running around you have to do really takes a toll on you. This weekend I hope to rest!
